Re: [Digital BW] Great Tip if you have been experiencing photoshop crashes.

2002-07-29 by Pat Thompson

Thank YOU for the tip, Jerry!

After I finish printing my next exhibit I'll re-install PS and try that...

...HOWEVER, over the years, every Adobe application I've ever tried to
use has locked my PCs (CtrlAltDel didn't work; I had to re-boot). After
spending weeks on Adobe work-arounds and losing a harddrive to repeated
re-booting I finally substituted PaintShopPro and GhostScript for the most
necessary programs.

Recently a neighbor told me that a driver used by my ISP
(Netcom/Mindspring/Earthlink) conflicts with Adobe Reader and that since
changing ISP HER lockup problem has disappeared.

More recently, since the merger of Netcom/Mindspring & Earthlink,
PaintShopPro has also developed a mild lockup problem (which I can
sometimes CtrlAltDelete out of).

This is not the forum for troubleshooting software-conflicts, but if
anyone else has OVERCOME similar aggravations with their graphic programs,
I'd like to hear from you at PatAT@....

    Thanks!

    Pat Thompson
