Moir\ufffd is always a problem if the sensor pattern is regular (e.g., rows and columns) and if there are equally regular features in the image that approach or exceed the resolution of the sensor. The only solutions are to put more pixels in the sensor, randomize the sensor pattern (which is why film never shows moir\ufffd), or blur the image so that no part of the image exceeds the resolution of the sensor.
