I interpreted Anthony's statement as a refutation to the commonly-held notion (well, probably not so much among this group) that a printer dot is a pixel. When I discuss my prints and printing techniques with many of the non-technical people I know, the first thing that they think is that the printer is printing one dot per pixel.
