I'm not sure that what I am experiencing is the same thing but reading what is being said about solarization made me wonder. Here is the situation. I started scanning a group of B&W negs in RGB, working on them, then flattening them and changing mode to grayscale. Then for several reasons I decided to just scan in grayscale. I have been having poor transitions of tone in the thin areas of the neg. These are negs from a Holga camera so they are not always the best of negs. Now as soon as I get a chance I am going to go back and rescan a problem grayscale scan in RGB and see if I get a smoother print. Anyone else have experience with this issue? Billie
