I use both MIS and CIS sytems and originally the MIS was a pain
to setup. It still is... if you follow the old instructions and inject ink
into the catridges. Instead, use the vacum pump method as
outlined for the CIS system. You can get the pump from MIS as
well now, but they seam to still backseat that method for the
original injection method. The system I just had delivered this
week still include instructions to inject. I don't know why anyone
would do this when the vacuum method is easier by far!

Though the price from MIS is much cheaper, the CIS system is
engineered a bit nicer, but that is just cosmetics. The bottom line
is $125 for CIS or $60 for MIS... prices are for an 1160 not
including vacuum pump. The CIS may look better but the results
are the same.
