On the 9600 in Europe there's no 'Photo Black Mode' that uses K and k only
either. A friend with a 9600 and another 9600 owner have said so.

The driver for the 9600/7600 (W2000) that I got from the USA Epson site has
a 'Photo Black Mode' that resides in the Colour Mode menu. I doubt that
that one will use just the two Kk inks. Of course if all is translated
linear from a file then theoretically the 100 % to 20 % in print could be Kk
only, AFAIK the 0 to 20% is made of cmY in any printmode but monochrome. No
9600 here but still curious.
