Andy,

If things were printing well with the cartridges, then I would go ahead with
the CIS. If the printer has been sitting unused for awhile and you don't
know if it was firing on all nozzles, you might want to get another color
cartridge to test. Remember the Epson carts make good cleaning cartridges
and seem to keep quite awhile even if they have been used.
