I think Paul mentioned in an earlier post that the ink densities 
reported to you by MIS are most likely dilution percents of the pure 
black NOT printed reflective densities (as measured by the 0 to 100% 
scale), therefore there is no proportionality.  

On the MIS Cone vs Epson hex-inksets,FS and FS-E, yes, the Cone 
driver only uses 4 shades even with hex printers, hence C=PC and 
M=PM.  However, the Epson hex-driver expects the PC and PM inks to be 
lighter.  The other inks, CYMK, are the same in both inksets.
