You actually saw pixels?  The Canon 1D is only a 4 megapixel camera. 6mg
would be better. But you must be speaking of huge prints to see
pixelation. How big were the prints?  I wouldn't go much higher than 20
inches with the S2, Canon D60, or Nikon D1x.  There are NO noticeable
pixels in a 20 inch print fromthe above cameras.
