There are a couple of other ways of using Photoshop to convert color to  
grayscale. Look at the Russell Brown tutorial here:

click on the quicktime movie under "Seeing in Black & White. It's  
entertaining and illustrates the technique. Also, he has other useful  
tutorials.
Another way is to use the channel mixer. Check this site:
http://www.computer-darkroom.co.uk/
Look under Photoshop tutorials for "Black and white from Colour".
They are both interesting ways of doing what you want, and will give  
more interesting results than simply changing the mode to grayscale in  
PS.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
