For us, BOKEH, is a big factor... Imagine shooting a football game with a 400/2.8 or 600/4... You open up all the way to blur the background and put the focus on the subject... Instead, the background becomes distracting.. UGH! If you intend to depend on your lenses at more than minimum apertures, it pays to know your Bokeh..
