I will be presenting my first display of 19 images in a few weeks here in Austin, Texas. Which brings me to some framing questions. My requirements are: low cost, with professional look, ability to take images out and replace with new ones, and, initially, no expensive hardware, such as pricey dry mounts or pricey mat cutters. So, here are my questions: 1) looking at the mats at pictureframes.com, are their mats of decent quality? I would like to have the mats be thick, and with nice 45 degree cuts. The images on the site do not convey enough info. 2) I will have non-standard cropping on many of my images, which will require custom cuts. 3) any vendors with complete framing kits? Yes, I have seen the metal frame kits from pictureframes.com, but I have quality questions with their mats. I am willing to pay some more for nice mats, because I believe a poor quality mat, with a poor quality cut really stands out, and affects the display as a whole. Sorry for the off-topic. But I suspect there are many in this group who are curious, as I am.
