Much > thanks I forgot to mention that there is no "levels" adjustment required. I went to some effort to make sure that the curves are "linear". You can flip back and forth from greyscale to quadtone with no apparent change. If you look at the choice of "inks" that comprise these curves, you'll see it's really a Tritone plus a neutral black. I recommend this for all Quadtones. The black ink is used here and there, just to make sure that all 10 zones fall where they should be. If I were a more patient person, I would have done it over a 20-step scale, but if you look at the Paul Rumohr's image, posted on the Large Format Forum at http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=003lzc, you can see that it's already "close enough for government work".
