Thanks for the Info Martin.

I guess my next question would be this...is it possible to replace
the bluish toned bottle of ink in the VM set with something warmer and just
use the cold curves? Is there a warmer tone I could just buy that would be
compatible with the VM inks? Do the curves even use the toner ink when you
print with the warmer curves?

My other option I am seriously considering is just to sell both
printers and buy one Epson 2200...do they make a CIS for these all ready?

Jim

Jim,

Afraid so. You can avoid or lessen this by using a tone farther away
from neutral. Also by using the pigmented color inks but then
metamerism is more of an issue. Good color profiles are a great help.

Also, it seems like duo-tones (from Photoshop) would be a

That's how I started but I couldn't get a consistent tone close
enough to neutral to satisfy me. I couldn't get passed the split
toned look unless I got way too warm for my tastes. It looks like the
2200 may go a long way towards solving the problems people have had
doing this.
