Actually on a second look the so called "banding" goes from west to east when aligned vertically. My suspicion is that the the printer heads are moving in that direction and that it's so faint that you have to look at it about 3 inches to see the regions of very thin white "lines" in the midst of dark areas of the print. Perhaps I'm too picky here? The C80 is a cheap enough printer so perhaps the 1280 is 10 times better then? :D AW
