I think it is just very satisfying to take a picture, look at the print, and be able to get closer and closer and closer and see more and more and more detail. It's kind of a disappointment when you squint at a large print to see some small, interesting detail and discover that it is just a blur. At least that is what drove me from digital back to film, and from 35mm to MF. I'm afraid to try LF, because I would not be able to afford the desire that it might create!
