IJM response to 21 Step tonality problem with PiezoTone WN using 1280 carts.

"Ron-
    We have recently experienced an issue with the 1280 pre-filled PiezoTone
WN
cartridges and are currently investigating the problem.  The inks have not
had a problem in the CIS bulk feed system cartridges.    It has been
determined that the sponge material in the pre-filled cartridge is effecting
the flow of the ink while printing.   The lightest gray is the ink most
effected, and the printed sheet displays blown out highlights and images
with high contrast.  We are testing and producing new cartridges for the
Epson 1280 to fill and replace the existing carts.  We are expecting to get
the replacement cartridges by mid-October."
