I've been following the Inkjetmall soap opera. I still haven't decided on a 1280 with hextone inks or a 2200 with the ultrachrom. The 2200 route will be more expensive since it will require an IP driver to get neutral B&W. But I wonder if in the long run the supply of high quality qualtone inks and support can be insured. The market is small and it seems fairly fluid. While Epson probably picks your pocket every time you buy their ink, at least you can be relatively certain they will be there tomorrow to answer the phone. Is there an inherent risk of being left out in the cold depending on a quadtone solution? How stable are any of these small ink companies anyway? Truman
