I have certainly been at fault myself from time to time in participating in long running and loud "discussions" on many topics. The problem is we need to realize when we have reached the point where no one is going to change their mind and further conversation is really futile or we have drifted way off the topic of the list. The long back and forth arguments really start to clog up the band-width so to speak, and other questions, often more on topic, start to get lost in all the traffic. Personally I have also found that posting at that rate really eats up a lot of time that I could better spend making prints. Believe me, I get way more complaints about not moderating enough, than complaints about moderating too much! In fact I have never gotten a complaint for over moderating the list. Maybe we can buck the trend here and do something different then what is happening on the other lists. Martin
