if I read the reply properly, you are suggested to turn off the 2200 at
the surge suppressor? If that is the case, the 2200 won't shut down
properly, and will definitely lose count of the ink. I always shut the
unit down via the switch on the front of the unit.

is like all
	the earlier Epson's this will "park" the head and it will be
less likely to
	give you problems.
	
	The killer with the Epson's is to turn them on and off using the
switch on
	your surge protector or power strip. If they don't shut down
properly, they
	will do a full clean on startup and they will lose track of the
ink count.
	
	Recent Epson cartridges have a self sealing valve. You can take
them out and
	store them in a zip lock back for use latter. I have been doing
this with my
	1280's without a problem.
