Don, I use: Ink: Color Mode: Custom Matte Paper-Heavyweight Print Quality: Photo 1440 DPI High Quality Halftoning (this is under W2K, was Error Diffusion under W98) Microweave: On High Speed: Off Color Mgt.>Color Controls Mode>Automatic>All O's Source Space: Adobe RGB Print Space: Same as Source Compared to EAM, which is my second choice paper, I prefer HPR because I find it gives me better shadow separation, I like the creamier paper base color, I like the feel and the way the paper flops in the hand. The blacks are blacker and some of the whites are whiter on HPR by measurement, but I cannot "see" the differences except by overall impression of the print. HPR gives the impression of more detail. I think I could tweak a test print on EAM to look exactly like a test print on HPR. I don't want to take the time, however, but they are very close. I only use smooth papers.
