Shilesh, >I am playing around mixing inks to impart different tones to FS inks. I >read your posts in the files section on the draft Sepia FS inks, >and I have some questions: >Once I have created my master Cyan (dark density) ink, >can your formulae be used universally to get the Magenta >and Yellow inks? That is will they work no matter what tone >I am developing? ... >Magenta = 26% Cyan + 74% MIS Clear Base? >Yellow = 43% Magenta + 57% MIS Clear Base? I think those percentages will get you very close. The various inks do have slightly different absorption and other characteristics, so there could be a little fine tuning that still needs to be done. However, those percentages should be close enough that you can go straight to a full mix after your cyan base ink is finalized and see what the full inkset is going to look like. Good luck with your mixing. Paul http://www.PaulRoark.com
