Digital BW, The Print

Hi to all,

I've been having a good time experimenting with MIS-VM Ink and stock 
curves on a 1280. Results have been alright so far with files 
scanned from 35mm.

This morning I scanned a 4x5 Polaroid 55 negative on my Epson 2450, 
raw to 6x8" at 1200dpi. Large file. Burned, touched up, etc. Printed 
on Photo Rag, cool curve.

What a nice print! Tones and detail, all of that a real surprise. 
I'm very pleased.

My lesson: consider the source material and the significant impact 
on the print. (I should've known this from years in the wet darkroom 
anyway.)
