I'd just like to say that Ken Carney's comments on this are really on the mark. Each does stand on his own. I would like to add this, though: as digitally printing gets better and easier, the craft of darkroom printing may fade. And this would be unfortunate because to my eye no digital print quite matches a well done fiber-based wet print. But we will all become used to digital prints, and in areas such as sharpness and tonality, the digital print can equal the darkroom print if done properly. Rick Schiller
