I know they can be excellent, but can anyone tell me why you wouldn't get far better detail if you scanned a negative with about 10 times the detail of the print? Jerry I have scanned excellent 8x10 prints and made digital prints same size from the scan, and if anything the digital print was even better than the original for detail, sharpness, and tone.
