McGillicuddy,

The profiles are completely ink and paper dependent. A profile for Gen4 will
not be of any use with the VM inks. You can print out a target for Profiler
Pro and create a profile that will be very good for on screen proofing but
not for printing. You will need a separate profile for each paper you want
to use.

Go to this page:

http://www.inksupply.com/index.cfm?source=html/workflow_roark.html

and you will find the entire workflow, Photoshop and printer settings for
MIS-VM ink.

Keep in mind that all of the RGB separation curves done by Paul Roark were
optimized for Epson EAM so you may need to tweak the curves yourself to get
good results on Somerset and ICI. If you do tweak the curves you will need
to do new viewing profiles.

An alternate set of separation curves for MIS-VM can be found in folder:

Files > Ink Sets > MIS > MIS Variable Mix > 1280 PC MIS VM

in the file Tyler Boley's MIS VM Curves, 04-25.ZIP

Note that these were optimized for Photo Rag and may use different settings
than Paul Roark's curves.

Keep asking questions. That is why the list is here.
