KC> K2 Actually just reaching in there with a pen or pencil or similar pointed object and flick the white peg down seems works fine too. I've done this numerous times with my 870 and done the switch out routine to use the remaining ink in the supposed empty cartridges. I just tried it with my two 1160's and it worked fine as well.
