I even print 8x10s on my 3000.  Sure some see the difference, but with the
VM-sepia inks I don't.  The standard vm might be more dotty with the cool
tones.

  the 3000 has a grainer appearance due to the bigger droplet size.

  Also, it is a good idea to brave getting a second hand 3000?
