(with Antonis' permission)
I've recently finished my new book on digital printing for photographers and
artists ("Mastering Digital Printing: Photographer's and Artist's Guide to
High-Quality Digital Output"). It's part overview, part how-to; covers both
self-printing and print service providers; 400 pages, all color. The
publisher is Muska & Lipman/Course Technology, and although Amazon and B&N
are saying "December 2002," the book is printed, and it's scheduled to be out
in November.
If you're a discussion list regular, you'll see some familiar names including
C. David Tobie, who is the book's Technical Editor. This group is also
mentioned in the Appendix where I talk about the value of discussion lists.
You can read more about it (and see the cover) on my new website:
DP&I.com - http://www.dpandi.com
(Note: the site is just in its infancy; it currently has mostly the book info
on it.)
Hope you enjoy the information and inspiration the book provides. I certainly
have learned a lot creating it ;-), and I thank the list members who have
contributed to it.

P.S. While the book's primary subject is general, color digital output
(inkjet, digital photoprint and photo process, dye sub, electrophotography),
I also cover "monochrome options" including specialized inksets, drivers, and
printers in a separate section. It may not be the definitive word on B&W for
the high sophistication level of this group, but I had to cover a lot of
ground.Message
