Jerry, Responding from my PC--don't have the Mac available at the moment--but, I remember a similar thing happened to me a while back...I am running Photoshop 6.0.1 under OS 9.1. Apparently, under PS6, at least, there are two folders where plug-ins can be installed. One is found where you would expect it, following the Photoshop "chain", but, the other is directly off the "root" (whatever this is called in the Mac world) directory. I don't remember installing anything into this folder, but somehow stuff got in there. Buried deep in the bowels of PS6 is a check box indicating other (i.e., not within Photoshop) places to look for plug-ins, etc. Somehow...don't know how, though...must be "magic"...this box became unchecked on my system; which caused a few of my plug-ins to disappear! Enabling the checkbox, again, caused the "lost" items to reappear in my Filter menu. Don't know where, or if, this same checkbox is available in PS7, but might be something to verify. Good luck!
