I'm curious, Jerry. Was there any particular reason you chose the 
1280 over the 2450? I've heard lots of good things about the 2450, 
been thinking about buying one for a while, but now that they've been 
discontinued I'll probably wait and see what Epson comes out with the 
same specs and within the same price range.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
