Digital BW, The Print

I just started printing digitally a few weeks ago. I've just been
printing using the black ink only on my new 1280 on Epson Heavyweight
Matte. I'm still waiting for Cone drivers and ink set to arrive.  I
keep thinking my prints don't look bad at all. In fact I'm very
pleased. Only those very good traditional b&w printers look at my
prints and say "Oh, digital"

Now I must confess to having never seen a real quad tone digital
print. But, I used to do a lot of traditional B&W printing  a while
back and thought I did some pretty good work. While my Epson black
only prints are not as good as I did in the darkroom, they certainly
will do. 

I'm still trying to decipher "workflows". All I do is scan XP2 negs,
adjust them in Photoshop and print specifying "quality" and "black
only". I've never tried color prints.

I'm wondering what improvements I will see using the Cone driver and
inkset and EAM (once the box of Epson original heavyweight runs out)
