Todd: Your wish is almost my command. I am working with Norm at MediaStreet (Generations Ink) to develop a set of profiles for the Generations ink. This set of profiles will be setup for the Generations ink, Epson 7000 printer, MediaStreet Paper and Hawk Mountain paper. These profiles will be sold through my web site and MediaStree's site. I know I hear the screams --- why only the 7000? Because that is the printer I am currently using. It takes time and costs a huge amount of money to create professional profiles. First you have to print all the paper samples then have the profiles created by a good house. Then the samples have to be reprinted and the profiles have to be tweaked again. This may take two or three times of tweaking until you have a set of profiles that are able to be sold. We are still in our first round of tweaking and they will not be ready for another month. Are we going to make profiles for other printers? Maybe, maybe not. It will all depend on how well the profiles for the 7000 are accepted. I know you said you would pay $30.00 for a set of profiles. You are probably one of the few. Everyone wants something for nothing. Sorry, life does not work that way. It cost money to developed these products. We have to recover our costs. I also can also hear the screams that if we give these profiles away the masses will buy more of the product. That is also not true. You see it on this list already. Someone announces a new ink or paper and you can almost hear the thunder as this mass rushes to this new product. I hear you and am trying to do something about it. It may not be exactly what you want for your purpose, but hopefully someday I'll have an answer for you. Jim Davis http://www.visual-artists.com jarthurdavis@... mail to: jarthurdavis@...
