Digital BW, The Print

I'm having a problem with my Epson 1280 (w/Piezo CIS system) curling 
the bottom corners of my prints on German Etching paper.  As the 
print head makes its final last few passes it catches the bottom 
edges of the paper and curls them up while leaving heavy ink 
blotches on the bottom edges of the paper.  This seems to only 
happen on 8.1/2x11 size paper.  I have set the printer lever? on the 
top right of the printer to plus but it doesn't seem to help. Any 
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
