Digital BW, The Print

Could really use some input here...Pleeeze! I have a Stylus Photo
being used as a paperweight at the moment....you know, one of the
first six colour printers put out by Epson. Anyway, before I go out
and buy another printer (1270/1280?), has anyone tried or had any
success converting this printer to B&W? MIS make's the original Quad
and VM cartridges for this printer, but I don't think that it's been
highly recommended. I searched the archives and found nothing on this
printer.
Any and all input would be greaty appreciated.
