I got an Epson 2200 last week and am very pleased with both color images and B/W. However I'm having serious color shifts on one particular b/w image. The image was scanned from a b/w negative. I've printed it sucessfully on another (HP895) inkjet. However, when I print it on the 2200 using Photoshop 7 with either the Epson color profile or the Lepp profile on semi-gloss paper, the color shifts tremendously. It looks solarized with the deepest shadows a wierd solarized blueish color. The soft proof looks fine on screen as does the image on my monitor. Photoshop says the image profile is untagged gray in the lower task bar. I've printed other b/w images sucessfully, one of a waterfall on 11x17 glossy paper that knocks my socks off. It also was scanned from a negative and is untagged gray. I even tried changing the image to an RGB in Photoshop (Image-Mode- RGB)with the same wierd solarized effect. also I tried re-aligning the print heads I'm going crazy and wasting a lot of ink and paper trying to see whats wrong. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
