The answer is yes, but it's not a great idea.

If you do store them, you need to plug the holes both on the bottoms
and the top...the top with tape, the bottoms best with plugs made for
storage....tape as a last resort.

The question comes up as to why you would store? If you are switching
back to any other brand of ink, you need to do a complete flush with
cleaning carts both times you switch.

DON'T JUST TAKE THE CARTS OUT!  It is imperative you do not let the
print heads dry out.

Depending on the printer (if it's an 1160 for sure) you may not have
the ability to know how much ink is left in the carts...bad...you
don't want to run the print heads with an empty cart in.

Again...you can do it, but it is not a great practice.
