Well, one person's lazy is another's creative option. I'm glad the developers 
didn't think this way. I use the history feature often. And find it a better 
use of my resources than the constant copies I needed to make of a file prior 
to experimention when I didn't have the option. Now I keep an untouched 
original but am able to have fewer versions saved along the way. History, 
layers and layer masks are some of my best Photoshop tool friends. I don't 
really use the history brush tool much though. Most of the things I'd use it 
for can be done with a layer mask and I can come back a week later and change 
that.
