> Instead of Sharpie, why not the ink we print with? > Dave > I thought of that, but the writing instrument itself is also part of the problem. Many of the pens I tried got clogged from the coating on the prints in just a few strokes. Writing on the back side of the paper was fine, but writing on the printable surface clogged everything but the cheapest of ballpoints in my experience. (disclaimer: I didn't try every pen on the market, just the ones I had easy access to.) A felt-tip pen works, but the lines are too wide for my taste. The fine-point pens I tried used a plastic fiber nib tip which clogged as well. I didn't have much luck with pencil, but I didn't have the proper hardness for the paper I was using. That has been remedied. I suspect the new product Ken is alluding to is a pen with Lyson or MIS ink in it. I hope the tip works well on the coated papers without clogging and the ink is refillable with whatever flavor you prefer. Need any beta testers? I was at an Epson seminar last month and they gave away pens with the Epson logo on them. I remember thinking it would be cool if they had ultrachrome ink in them. --Tom
