I agree. I don't sweat what isn't available now. I am happily using the D30.

sadly for you and I, these are only unsubstantiated rumours at this
point. I read the group you mentioned daily and these lists
of 'specs' change weekly but have never been officially announced.
The message thread you are referring to was pretty believable and
comprehensive though. I wouldn't call it announced unless it's done
by Canon.

They have announced four new SLR models. Two are lower priced, two
higher priced. The highest priced is going to be around $5,000 for
body alone. That is still less than some competitive models, but
more than the D30. If you are really interested in the bells and
whistles and projected prices and features and rumours...then just
surf on over to the DPreview.com site and look over the Canon SLR
forum. There you will find info ad nauseum.
