Epson is supposed to be coming out with a postscript RIP for the 2200 any day now. There were rumors it was to happen this week, but nothing so far. (Must be out on the docks with all the 2200s.) Perhaps this will introduce better network sharing features in the manner of the OEM RIP for the 3000 etc.; download the postscript to a dedicated desktop which then pushes the printer. Of course I dunno what this will introduce to curves, profiling, and all that; it'll be back to the drawing board for a whole new workflow. Does anyone know anything about this product? I'd love to be able to send a postscript file to the 2200 once in a while...especially if I can do so for around the $200 price Epson is posting. That said, I've been happy enough with the USB sharing feature on my Macs. I have an old 9500 pushing the 2200, and the file gets "off" my workstation and "onto" the 9500 pretty quickly via ethernet. This then frees up my other desktops while the 2200 grinds away. Matthew Born
