I just received my order of Museum black and loaded it into the 1160. My initial reactions are very positive. The Dmax on the new EEM with RGB printing is 1.67. (Paper type setting is Matte HW, and "No Color Adjustment" is checked.) This is close to the Epson Matte Black 1.68 and significantly better than the MIS FS-K 1.59. The ink is also not as warm as the Epson Matte Black and, so far, has not had the waviness/vertical "banding" (but not the normal type we see) that I'm getting on some images with the Epson Matte Black in the 1160. On Eclipse the dmax is 1.60. On LPM it is 1.57, and it looks a bit blotchy. The Piezo driver/Museum black dmax on EEM is 1.56. So, we'll have to see how the ink does in fade testing in a few weeks. If it does close to the Epson Matte Black standard, we may have a winner here (although it is a bit on the expensive side). Paul http://www.PaulRoark.com
