Haven't got the banding back yet, so all is well, and clogging issues are few. Now what I get, only on Photorag 308 gsm letter size are thin score lines running parallel to paper travel. This only happens in areas that have more than about 90-95%k ink layed down with IP5, and it doesn't do it on Eclipse. And it's intermitant wrt area of print- only two or three wheels are doing it on letter sized paper, it doesn't go across the whole page. But it is exactly repeatable in same spots when print is redone. To get even further pirsnickity, you have to look obliquely at the print to see it but it is definitely there like scratches. Naked eye visible. Prints from last week on this paper don't show it. The only thing that's different is I opened a new box, I did a realignment on printer, this time using the 17 mil photorag instead of "plain paper" as Epson suggests in their manual. In all cases I leave the lever all the way up (normal, not thick paper or envelope setting). Humidity is controlled to be the same as last week(45%RH), but temperature today got to about 79 degrees F. Last week it was 68-72. Any ideas? After all this happened I gently reached my hand in and realized that the entire Pizza wheel frame is spring loaded against the bottom transport. Perhaps a judicuous use of a bit of light springy foam? Return printer? TIA, Jim H.
