I'm from Norway so the balancer came bundled with my printer. IMO you're not missing out on anything. It's very useful for removing gross color casts from your BW prints, but don't expect anything more than that. You have to trust your eyes being able to match printed squares of gray against a gray-card, and that's just not accurate enough to get near anywhere near perfect results. The program works in the background and affects all your prints while it's active, so I guess it's also useful if you want to tone all your BW prints the same way without messing around in photoshop.
