Today I find out that The "New" Arches Bright White comes in Both Hot or Cold. Initial tests with the Spectratones showed a very good black point with limited bleed. So I order some and the next batch is very so so on printing but I figure that it's just the paper batch. I now have it that the hot press (of course I ordered the cold press) has more Gelatin in it and therefore prints much better. Can anyone confirm the general printing charecteristics of the Arches Bright White Hot verses Cold or Hot verses Cold in general for same brand watercolor papers? When it first came out there were some good threads on the Bright White but I don't think that there were two versions then. Thanks, Allen linconlinks.com
