Hello all,
I have the five beta-testers I wanted (there, doesn't that sound
more dignified?) and UPS willing, I should get the test cartridges
out to them by end of next week.
The setups the inks are being tested under, other than my own 780
and 1280, are:
Mac G4 & 2000P
Win 98SE and a 1200
Mac OS 9 and Win XP with a 1280
Win 2000 and an 870
Mac and a second 1280
Mac and a 1270
Having worked out the inkset on a 2.2 calibrated system, I'm
particularly anxious to see how well it transfers to the Mac
environment.
Once the testers have tried this, thye're free to post their
impressions on the viabilty of this particular attempt at a non-
partitioned WYSIWYG greyscale inkset.
P.S. It seems I committed (or probably should be) to buy that 7500.
Anybody have any advice? Any opinions on using the MIS Ultrachrome-
clone inks in it? And again, does anyone know anything usefull about
that Fiery RIP that came with it? Keep it for color? Sell it & buy
paper? Use it for a door-stop?
