Digital BW, The Print

In trying to coat EAM to obtain something which looks like fiber 
photo paper, I've bought the Print Guard Lacquer Gloss Slow Dry from 
Lyson and applied it to some prints with a brush (tried to spray it 
but it is like oil and spray was not possible): the results are not 
those expected and I am far away from a fiber based photo print.

Any feed back about the Lyson products?

Any advice on how to use it?
