About two months ago I removed my MIS CFS system filled with VM-Sepia from my 1160 to do some experiments with FS-Sepia. I stoppered the holes and stored the whole system level in a cool place. This past weekend I wanted to print some VM-S photos and out came the stored system. After three head cleanings everything was fine. I printed two photos when I noticed that something was wrong. Banding! A cleaning and a nozzle check showed problems, even after repeated cleanings. I then went through everything that has ever been discussed on this list but it just got worse until at last - nothing at all. I had spare cartridges and took out the problem CFS to do the necessary. I never used my Epson cartridges after I bought the 1160 - so I had a set. After two cleanings perfect checks and perfect MIS purge prints. I cut the pipes from the offending cartridges to transfer to the new ones. I thought I would just blow out the ink from the different chambers back into the respective bottles but just a few drops came out of every chamber. So I was printing with air. I then reconnected the pipes to the offending cartridges and primed them by sucking ink into the cartridges from their outlets. I sucked about 10 cc more through the chambers from when it started coming out. The black foamed quite a lot and I sucked slowly till I got clear ink. I let the whole lot stand for a few hours and switched the inks. Three cleanings and nearly right. A few more hours waiting and two more cleanings and now perfect. Sorry for the long post. Reinier
