Curves are great things. And I'm pretty new in Photoshop. Just imagine
the ability to adjust contrast by impacting each of the tones
individually, not a blanket adjustment. Unfortunately, Photoshop
Elements doesn't have them. But you can upgrade an OEM version of
Elements to Photoshop 7.0 for only $300 which is a $299 savings.
(can't do this with the $99 Elements package obviously) 

I'm really happy with my 1280. Never had a 2200 but for b&w, I
interpret everyone posting to say the 1280 is better. And there are
some real deals on new 1280's out there. And, my 1280 does very good
"black ink only" prints which doesn't seem to be the case with the

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
