The Sundance (old Piezo) samples I saw were from a 3000, which has even coarser a dot-pattern, but looked dot-less and very smooth with that driver. The IP5 samples were from a 7500, and while the tonal control was very good, it seemed that some zones, mostly the mid-dark tones around 75-85% were gritty, like there were coarse black dots on top of smooth dark grey. That is exactly the problem I'm having with the Epson driver, I don't any reason to pay for IP5 if it won't solve that problem. >>Are they still developing (future upgrades) > the Sundance R9 RIP? I don't know if they will upgrade the software, but they are continuing to expand and hopefully improve their inks, so maybe they will Steve
